118th ARF Eastern Regional Convention Held in Boston

New Central Committee Elected

WATERTOWN, Mass. (A.W.)—The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Eastern United States held its 118th Regional Convention from Feb․ 27 to March 1, with the participation of delegates and invited guests from across the Eastern U.S.

ARF logo largeAfter extensive discussions of national and community issues, the Convention determined its agenda for the next two years, emphasizing the importance of strengthening local communities, of harnessing forces for the benefit of the Armenia Diaspora, Armenia and Artsakh, and pursuing the just demands of the Armenian people, especially on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

At its conclusion, the Convention elected a new Central Committee, comprised of the following ungers:

Hayg Oshagan, Chairman (Michigan)
Levon Attarian (Massachusetts)
Hovsep Avakian (Washington, D.C.)
John Avedissian (Massachusetts)
Greg Bedian (Illinois)
Aram Hovagimian (Pennsylvania)
Khajag Mgrditchian (Massachusetts)
