  1. the innocent died an agonizing death, some were lucky that death was quick others a drop at at time until the inevitable ,
the ones who survived and had to hide their identity, they survived but with a sword dangling on their heads had to tiptoe through life walking on an eggshell they are free now and returning to their roots and I’m sure that their grandparents have a smile on their faces wherever they are. may their unity with their loved ones be rewarding a whole family at last.

  2. Just consider the possibilities here if this is the beginning of hidden Armenians reclaiming their Armenian heritage in historical Western Armenia. Can you imagine, say in 20 years or so, millions of people that live in historical Western Armenia openly asserting that they are Armenian? Suddenly there could once again be a significant Armenian presence in the Western part of our ancient homeland. Given the numbers, it’s not so difficult to imagine and we Armenians worldwide need to make this a real priority as part and parcel of the Armenian Cause. Educating these hidden Armenians, as described in this article, is a huge step. This is fantastic!

  3. My family left Western Armenia during the late 70s and my father has told me all about the tragic fate of our hidden Armenians. He always claimed there must be more than a million of them today. He personally knows dozens of hidden Armenian families (big families), some of them are our relatives.
