WATERTOWN, Mass.—The 8th annual Spring Sports Raffle at the Armenian Museum of America (ALMA) ended with celebrations on July 16, as it brought in a record amount to support the museum’s exhibitions, programs, and running costs.
This year the raffle also made a considerable contribution to One Fund Boston, with five percent of ticket sales going directly to help support victims of the Marathon bombing.
A lively reception on ALMA’s 3rd floor concluded the event, with Fenway Park-style refreshments served. Dan Dorian, the chairman of the Sports Raffle Committee, introduced Bruins announcer Jack Edwards, who picked the lucky winners’ names. The prizes included a Grand Prize of 22 seats in a Fenway Park Luxury Box watching the Red Sox play the Chicago White Sox, as well as 11 other sets of tickets to see such favorites as the Patriots, the Bruins, and the Celtics. Congratulations to all the winners!
