“Race and Space: The Armenian Genocide in the Context of Population and Territory.”

APRIL 23, 2012 * GENOCIDE PROGRAM AT RUTGERS. The Center for the Study of Genocide, Conflict Resolution and Human Rights (CGHR) at Rutgers University presents, as part of its Armenian Genocide Program, a talk by Ugur Umit Ungor on “Race and Space: The Armenian Genocide in the Context of Population and Territory.” Ungor is an assistant professor of history at Utrecht University and at the Institute for War and Genocide Studies in Amsterdam. He specializes in genocide, mass violence, and ethnic conflict. His recent publications include Confiscation and Destruction: The Young Turk Seizure of Armenian Property. The event is co-sponsored by the Armenian Studies Program and with the support of the Rutgers-Newark Alumni Assocation.
