Marash Lace Workshop at ALMA
MARCH 7-21, 2010 * MARASH LACE WORKSHOP. The Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) will host a two-day Marash Embroidery Workshop taught by ALMA textile curator Susan Lind-Sinanian. The classes take place from 2:30-4 p.m. in ALMA’s Contemporary Art Gallery, 3rd floor, 65 Main St. in Watertown, Mass. The workshop teaches the basics of this ancient art while highlighting many examples from ALMA’s collection dating back to the early 19th and 20th century. Tuition is $25 ($18 for ALMA members).
