Hooshere Bezdikian

Hooshere Bezdikian is a first generation Armenian-American whose connection to her heritage, coupled with her passion for music, media and activism has molded her into a dedicated member of, and contributor to, the diasporan Armenian community. As a musician, she has released contemporary albums rooted in the Armenian tradition, and she actively performs at a variety of events and engagements. As an activist and performer, she volunteers her time with the ANCA and the ARS, as well the Armenian schools and churches in the tri-state area. As a writer, she periodically contributes to the Armenian Weekly. She is a senior executive in the entertainment media industry and resides in New York City with her family.

  1. Based on reports today on NPR Talk Show…over 140,000 people have rated this movie…PRIOR to April 21st official opening. The only prior showing was at the Toronto Film Festival last fall. There is no way that a 140,000 people could have seen this film at that time!

  2. The Promise was an instant reminder of all the history lessons my grandmother had shared with me and my sisters(re the Armenian genocide) over our childhood years! She lived it in Turkey! Escaping and surviving at the age of 6. She was a constant reminder of how lucky we are to be in a free country(Canada) Thank you for producing this movie for the World to understand!

  4. Watched the movie.. a great and sad event that most people don’t realize it really happened, so sad!!! Unfortunately it is happening at this moment in our world and it is still falling on deaf ears. Will we ever learn?
