YEREVAN—On Sept. 17, on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Republic of Armenia (RoA) Serge Sarkisian awarded the RoA “Medal of Gratitude” to former Armenian Relief Society (ARS), Inc. Chairperson, Vanouhi Isadjanian.
Ungeruhi Isadjanian’s constructive efforts over a crucial period of emerging relations between the Diaspora and the Homeland led to the concept of on-going dialogue through Armenia-Diaspora Conferences, initiating and organizing the very first of these annual meetings. The Ungeruhi was also instrumental in the successful implementation of ARS programs indispensable in the aftermath of the devastating Spitak earthquake in 1988.
On this happy occasion, the entire ARS Family congratulates Ungerouhi Isadjanian with best wishes for the coming years.
