Outnumbered

Orson Welles once lectured in a small Midwestern town before a not too well-attended audience. He opened his talk with a brief sketch of his career. “I’m a producer and director of plays. I’m a producer and director of motion pictures. I’m an actor on stage and in motion pictures. I also write, direct, and act on the radio. I’ve published books. I play the violin and piano. I’m a magician and painter.” After a brief pause, he looked over the audience, and said, “Isn’t it a pity that there are so much of me and so few of you!”
